Welcome to Port Kenny, where the vibe is so cozy, you might just mistake it for a family reunion you never wanted to attend. This lovable little spot is basically headquarters for local farmers and fishing fanatics—because who wouldn’t want to drop everything and hang out by the water with people who would rather talk about their crops than anything remotely exciting? If you’re not too busy dodging fishing lines from the jetty, you can try sailing along the coastline. Just be careful; you might get splashed by someone having the time of their life.

The locals are so friendly, it’s almost suspicious—ready to share their fishing tales and farming tips at the drop of a hat. You could say it creates a heartwarming sense of camaraderie, but let’s be honest: it’s mostly just small talk about what’s biting. So, if you’re looking for an escape filled with fishing rods, farm gossip, and scenery that screams “I reluctantly came here for a weekend,” then Port Kenny is your ticket to heaven or, at the very least, a quirky trip down memory lane where you’re definitely not taking out your phone for Instagram. Enjoy your “delightful” getaway!

PORT KENNY PUBLIC TOILETS

Heading to Pt Kenny from Streaky? Keep your peepers peeled on the left side! The public toilets are hiding like a shy wombat—they're the third building down! Don’t blink, or you might just drive right past them! And guess what? They’re open 24/7, ready to save the day... or night!

DINE IN & TAKEAWAY FOOD

PORT KENNY HOTEL
“Needing a break from driving and a sit-down meal? Drop by the Port Kenny Hotel on Flinders Hwy. Order a meal, grab a cold drink, and soak up the charm and atmosphere of this establishment that has been here since 1939. It’s one of those country pubs where you’re likely to hear something like “You can’t sit there; that’s Billy’s chair; he’ll be in dreky”?!
Delicious lunch meals are served Wednesday through Saturday, and even more delightful dinners are served daily. The food’s so good that you won’t notice that everyone in the place is in the same spot they were sitting in 10 years ago when you last drove through here, telling the same stories.
